Trigonometry is a math course that is used to study the relationships and properties of triangles and the trigonometric functions (sine, cosine, tangent, cosecant, secant, and cotangent) that describe those relationships. Trigonometry concepts are used for navigation, surveying, and computer graphics. Apart from this, they are also used to study and solve problems involving angles, distances, heights, and other geometric relationships.
You’ll learn the following topics in trigonometry:
In trigonometric equations & identities, students will learn how to solve equations involving trigonometric functions such as sine, cosine, and tangent, using inverse functions and applying algebraic techniques. They will also learn how to simplify and manipulate trigonometric expressions using fundamental identities, Pythagorean identities, and sum and difference identities.
With these skills, students will develop a strong understanding of how trigonometric functions and identities can be used to model, and solve real-world problems involving periodic phenomena, such as waves and oscillations.
In trigonometric functions, students will learn about the six basic trigonometric functions: sine, cosine, tangent, cosecant, secant, and cotangent, and how to use these functions to solve problems involving triangles and angles. They will also learn about the unit circle and how to use it to evaluate trigonometric functions.
After all this knowledge, they will be able to use trigonometric functions to model and solve real-world problems, such as finding the height of a building or the distance between two objects.
In triangle classification theorems, students will learn about the classification theorems of triangles which involve the relationships between the sides and angles of a triangle and the concept of similar triangles, which are triangles that have the same shape but possibly different sizes. They will also learn about the Law of Sines, which states that the ratio of the length of a side of a triangle to the sine of the opposite angle is constant for all three sides and angles of the triangle and the Law of Cosines, which relates the lengths of the sides of a triangle to the cosine of one of its angles.
After gaining this knowledge, they will be able to apply these theorems and concepts to solve problems related to triangles and other geometric shapes and able to use the ratios of the sides of similar triangles to solve various problems, such as finding the height of a building or the distance across a river.
In functions of angles, students will learn about the functions of angles, which include sine, cosine, and tangent and how to use these functions to solve problems involving right triangles and other geometric figures. They will also learn how to apply the laws of sines and cosines to solve more complex problems involving non-right triangles and how to graph these functions.
In the end, they will be able to find the missing side lengths or angles of a right triangle using the functions of angles and use them to model real-world phenomena such as sound waves and oscillations.

" I struggled with trigonometry and its problems related to triangles before I started taking online tutoring sessions from Wiingy, but my tutor, Shivika, made it much easier to understand. She was patient and always willing to answer my questions and cleared all my doubts. Now, my grades are improved and I feel much more confident in class than before. "

" My daughter never remembered the trigonometric identities. She used to refer to her formulae book while doing assignments, but in exams, this can't be done. The tutor from Wiingy helped her a lot in remembering the identities using visual aids and made the concept very easy for her. Now she no longer needs any reference for solving the questions either during assignments or exams. "

" I was struggling to solve problems related to hyperbolas. Because of this, I was not able to verify if I got the answer correct. This was such a small concept in trigonometry but tutors from Wiingy never treated it as a small concept, they taught me how to convert it, and cleared other doubts as well. "
