My name is Avery Jenkins, and for the past 3 years, I've had the rewarding experience of guiding students in their academic careers. My passion for education and tutoring stems from a desire to be like my role model and help act as a catalyst in young learners' growth in understanding the multitude of concepts present in the subject of AP Physics. Leveraging my background in science for which I have a B.Sc degree from the University of Maryland, I can provide strong instruction in AP Physics, while also offering support in Physics and GCSE Physics. Outside of the classroom, I find myself drawn to music and novels, which I believe fosters a well-rounded perspective that I inculcate into my teaching approach.

AP Physics, while not a dynamic subject, is a demanding subject. A huge amount of attention to detail and a good grasp of the fundamentals is required in order to excel in the subject. Unlike other subjects, physics does not allow much room for flexibility. While many see this as an opportunity to make routine and boring teaching programs, I believe otherwise. While I am going to make and follow a structured teaching program, it will by no means be routine. I will ensure that the class is conducted in an enriching fashion to ensure that the curriculum is being followed and also to keep the learner engaged during the sessions. I will ensure this by conducting thorough revision, and periodic assessments along with circulation of articles on physics experiments, webpages explaining physics phenomena, and video presentations that deal with the core concepts.
