Opportunity Class Schools | Complete OC School List

According to the NSW government website, 1840 places are available across 77 schools across NSW (New South Wales) that provide OC classes.

The opportunity class schools focus on pairing up like-minded kids that are extremely talented in academics and possess creative skills.

Opportunity class program is a two-year course where the students attend the eligibility test in year 4. The classroom environment, curriculum, syllabus, and way of teaching are entirely different when compared to traditional schooling.

Students in Year 4 who want to pursue their next two years (Year 5 and Year 6) of academics are expected to leave their primary school and join the specific school where OC classes are conducted.

◊ Only students who would be enrolled in Year 5 in an authorised host school in a rural remote area (excluding areas where there is a current opportunity class provision) may apply for Aurora College, the virtual opportunity class.

*Schools with 15 places have one composite opportunity class catering for Year 5 and Year 6 students. Fifteen new students are accepted in Year 5 each year, with fifteen students continuing in Year 6. There are 30 students in the class.
