Pasan - Know your tutor
I am pasan and I look forward to be your calculus tutor. Calculus is the heart of mathematics and I will show you how the foundations of maths tie into the real world. I am an easy going tutor and I enjoy seeing you progress with your understanding. My lessons are highly personalised and will adjust to your learning speed. My specialities include exam preparation and teaching you the foundations before tackling harder problems. I am a practical tutor and will always try to tell you why we do certain things, instead of glossing over the details. The exam prep is dependant on your abilities and my objective is for you to feel confident in maths. I always like to make my lessons engaging and a interactive instead of a one way conversation. I strongly believe that when you teach something, you can retain the knowledge for long period of time. Hence, I always make it a habit for my students to tesch me what i have taught them. I find it valuable for the student such that they can master concepts they never thought was possible. I look forward being your tutor and lets conquer calculus together. It is a great area of study, some find it majestic based on the proofs that come out of it. I am to make you better at this topic.

The Student and Tutor reviewed the Student's Economics trial exam, focusing on interpreting questions related to tariffs, subsidies, environmental management, and macroeconomic indicators. They discussed common errors in definitions, calculations, and essay structure, with the Tutor providing detailed guidance on how to approach different question types (e.g., assess, analyze, explain) and use data effectively. The Student was advised to practice past papers, and the Tutor offered to mark future papers to refine response strategies.

The Student and Tutor updated a Weighted Average Cost of Capital (WACC) calculation in Excel, ensuring the bond and bank loan components of debt were weighted and calculated separately. Subsequently, they practiced calculating and interpreting several key financial ratios—current ratio, debt-to-equity ratio, quick ratio, interest coverage ratio, and earnings per share—using provided financial statements to assess liquidity, financial gearing, and investor position. The Student will work on completing the ratio analysis for future review.
