About your tutor

My journey in architecture has always been driven by curiosity, creativity, and the desire to understand how spaces influence people, emotions, and experiences. With a strong foundation in architectural design and 3D modelling, I enjoy exploring concepts, visualization techniques, material understanding, and the process of transforming ideas into meaningful designs that create an impact. As a tutor, my teaching style is interactive, patient, and focused on encouraging creative thinking rather than just following fixed approaches. I believe every student has their own unique perspective and design language, and my role is to guide them in discovering and strengthening it. I focus on simplifying complex concepts, developing technical skills, improving software understanding, and helping students gain confidence in expressing their ideas. My experience of working with students has taught me the importance of communication, listening, and understanding different perspectives. I enjoy mentoring students through design discussions, 3D modelling workflows, presentations, and concept development while encouraging them to experiment, question, and think beyond conventional solutions.

The Student and Tutor worked through a series of Revit-based quiz questions, reinforcing concepts like wall types, view settings, and file import/export. They also discussed practical applications such as landscape design, the use of specific Revit tools, and software workflows, with the Tutor agreeing to send design files for the Student's practice.

The student and tutor worked on refining site plans, focusing on accurate representation of pervious and impervious surfaces and incorporating specific project requirements. They also discussed and adjusted various dimensions and labels on the plan, including house measurements, driveway details, and landscape features. Future plans include adding landscape details and potentially reviewing practice test questions.

The tutor guided the student in importing a PDF survey plan into Revit and then scaling it using a reference line and the 'Scale' tool. They also worked on adjusting the view settings to properly display the scaled plan and demonstrated how to trace over the PDF using Revit's model lines for further editing.
