They also began exploring a new piece, Opus 696 No. 10, focusing on left-hand technique to create layered bell tones without the pedal. Student was assigned reading Chapters 5-8 of Opus 500, Part 3, to prepare for more advanced interpretive concepts and future pieces.

The Student and Tutor focused on piano instruction, starting with a review of note naming on ledger lines, building on a homework exercise. They then practiced the song "Pink Pony Club," completing the first page, and worked on F, B, and C penta scales, as well as the G major full scale. The Student's note-naming score showed significant improvement. A follow-up lesson was scheduled for Thursday.

For homework, the Student is assigned to practice playing all chords for each scale quickly (around 90 bpm) to internalize the progressions, and to practice the earlier exercise at 120 bpm with the left hand.
