Setting up tutor account at Wiingy is quite easy and important to start your journey as a tutor. Whether you’re an experienced tutor or new to tutoring, setting up your account will help you connect with students worldwide.

How to create a tutor account at Wiingy

To begin your tutoring journey with Wiingy, follow the following steps

  • Visit the Wiingy Tutor Portal: Go to Wiingy Tutor Portal and click on “Start tutoring”.
  • Sign up using your Google account: Continue with your google account to create your tutoring account at Wiingy. (Note: Wiingy only allows account creation through your google account. No other signup methods are available.)
  • Provide basic information: Enter your full name, contact details, and password as requested.
  • Update your details: Fill in your educational background, subject expertise, and professional experience.
  • Upload required verification documents: Upload a valid ID for identity verification.
  • Enrich your profile: Upload a minimum of 5 pictures which will be displayed on your tutor page to help students learn more about you before booking demo lessons.
  • Update your bank details: Updating your bank details is required during onboarding to ensure timely payment for all the completed lessons. See the Payment methods section below for more details.

Information needed for account creation

When setting up your tutor account, you’ll need to provide:

  • Personal information: Full name, date of birth, and contact information.
  • Educational background: Details of your highest degree, certifications, and relevant qualifications.
  • Subject expertise: Mention the subjects you can tutor.
  • Professional experience: Teaching or tutoring experience, if applicable.
  • Verification documents: A valid ID for identity verification.

Enhancing your tutor profile

Enhancing your account is important for standing out to potential students:

  • Upload a professional profile photo: The profile photo will appear on your tutor page, helping students go through your profile before booking a lesson.
  • Add photos to your listings: When setting up your tutor listings, you’ll be required to upload a few extra photos. These photos help in making your profile more engaging and professional, giving students a better experience while browsing for tutors.

Payment methods and bank details

Wiingy provides flexible payment options based on your location:

  • For tutors in the US and India:
    • Direct bank account transfers are available.
    • You’ll be asked to provide your bank details during account creation.
  • For tutors outside the US and India:
    • Payments are handled exclusively through Wise. Please note that Wiingy doesn’t support any other payment methods.

Next step after setting up your account – complete the onboarding process

  • Upload your profile photo.
  • Add detailed information about your qualifications, subject expertise and teaching experience.

Create your tutor listing

  • Highlight your subjects, teaching style, and expertise.
