Add a payment method to your Wiingy account

To receive payouts for your lessons, you must add your payment details to Wiingy. Wiingy supports multiple payment methods depending on your country of residence. Below is a step-by-step guide on how to set up your payment method and ensure you receive your earnings on time.

Payment methods

Wiingy supports the following payment methods based on your location:

  • Bank transfer (US & India): For tutors in India and the United States, you will be paid via direct bank transfer. Learn more in How payouts are calculated.
  • Wise payment app (International): Tutors outside of India and the US will receive payouts through Wise. Ensure that your Wise account is correctly linked. For more on Wise, visit How payouts are calculated.

For specific instructions on adding your payment details, follow the steps below.

Updating payment details

To update your payment method, go to the Account section and navigate to the Bank Details tab. Ensure your bank or Wise account information is accurate to avoid payment delays.

Steps to update payment details:

  1. Log in to the Wiingy Tutor Portal: Visit tutors.wiingy.com and sign in to your account.
  2. Go to the Bank Details section: Navigate to Account > Onboarding > Bank Details.
  3. Enter your payment details:
    • For direct bank transfers: Provide your account number and routing number (only available for US and Indian tutors).
    • For Wise transfers: Provide your Wise membership number, registered email ID, and legal name.
  4. Save changes: Click Save to confirm your payment details.

Once updated, you can review and update your payment details anytime under the Earnings Dashboard.

Payment processing

Payments are processed once a month, with all completed lessons being paid by the 10th of the following month. Ensure that your lesson is scheduled and completed on the Wiingy platform to be eligible for payout. For more information on lesson scheduling, check out How to schedule lessons.

Tutor taxes & payouts

It’s essential to understand the tax obligations and payout process for tutors. Tutors are responsible for reporting their income and paying any applicable taxes based on their local tax laws. Wiingy does not withhold taxes. Learn more in Tutor taxes & payouts.
