As a Guitar tutor for school students, my teaching style is creative, interactive, and hands-on. I believe in making learning engaging and practical for my students. I use a variety of methods such as demonstrations and interactive activities to help students understand and apply music theory and composition. I also incorporate student ideas into lesson plans so students become more comfortable with music concepts by creating their own sections to songs. For example, when learning a new chord, students can improvise their rhythms while playing it. When learning multiple new chords, students can decide the number of beats for each, gradually getting comfortable playing them more often. Using student ideas in lesson plans really empowers students in their learning! I focus on building a strong foundation in both theory and playing techniques. By integrating theory and practice, I aim to help students not only perform and compose music but also develop a deeper appreciation for it. Students will better understand the music they study for lessons, and even music that they hear every day. This further motivates students to improve, and informs them on how to better play the music they are working on. Let's make music learning fun and meaningful together!
