In Biology, I help students build a solid understanding of key topics such as cells, human body systems, genetics, ecology, and required practicals. I teach them how to interpret diagrams, analyse data, and answer longer questions using accurate scientific vocabulary. I also show them how marks are awarded, so they learn exactly what examiners are looking for. In Chemistry, I place strong emphasis on calculations and structured thinking. Many students struggle with topics like moles, balancing equations, and quantitative chemistry, so I guide them step by step until the method becomes clear and repeatable. I make sure they understand the logic behind each calculation, not just the formula. A key part of my lessons is working through past paper questions. I train students to recognise command words, manage their time effectively, and structure answers for maximum marks. I regularly assess progress and adapt lessons to target weaker areas. My goal is not only to help students achieve high grades, but to build their confidence and develop strong analytical skills that will support them beyond their GCSEs.
