I am Tamil Selvan, a dedicated Mathematics educator with over 9 years of college-level teaching experience. I hold an MSc and MPhil in Mathematics and have submitted my PhD thesis at NIT Calicut. I have taught a wide range of UG and PG courses, including Real Analysis, Abstract Algebra, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Probability, Statistics, and Programming in C, C++, and Java. I have also qualified CSIR NET (AIR 14), GATE, and SET, and have guided many students preparing for competitive exams. My research work in stochastic epidemic modelling has been published in reputed journals. I focus on clear explanations, structured lessons, and student-centric learning, helping learners gain confidence and strong conceptual understanding. I aim to make Mathematics accessible, engaging, and goal-oriented for students at all levels.

My teaching methodology is centred on creating an interactive and student-focused learning environment. I conduct highly interactive sessions where students actively participate through questioning, problem-solving, and real-time clarification. I regularly use open-book tests to encourage conceptual understanding over memorisation, helping students learn how to apply ideas thoughtfully. I also incorporate seminar activities, allowing learners to present topics, build confidence, and develop communication skills. In addition, group discussions form an essential part of my approach, enabling collaborative learning, peer explanation, and deeper engagement with mathematical concepts. Through these methods, I aim to make mathematics meaningful, accessible, and engaging for every student. I am in this path to make mathematics engaging for students.
