I'm Diego, spanish teacher with Masters Degree in applied linguistics of spanish and over 5 years of experience. My expertise lies in Spanish writing, Speaking, Literature, Grammar and Vocabulary. I can create supportive environment for students with special needs, ensuring everyone can thrive in learning Spanish. I offer Cultural Immersion, Pronunciation Coaching, Grammar learning and Vocabulary Building to ensure a holistic learning experience. I offer an emphasis on context and on the needs of the students (in that they may need Spanish for business, study, professional, humanitarian purposes or just for pleasure) are some of the advantages that I find in the task-based approach that I use. I can apply the task-based approach because I have seen how learning is retained much longer, has more meaning for the students since the topics of the tasks can be according to their interests and, in addition, it is easier to integrate language skills in general (writing, reading, listening and speaking).

My approach is mostly task-based approach and the contextualization of teaching that allows going beyond the repetition of simple fill-in-the-blank exercises, finding the right verb form, finding the missing article, and other exercises that may be useful as independent practice, but fall short as elements of progressive teaching. It also inclues cultural immersion with a focus on writing, listening, reading and speaking. I leverage a variety of tech tools like interactive whiteboards, educational apps, and video platforms for online learning (Canva, Genial.ly, and more). I follow a tailored curriculum to meet the needs of my diverse audience of 20+ students from different countries, like USA, Germany, UK, France and Japan mostly, and at different levels, from beginners (A1) to advanced adults (C2).
