Hi there! I'm Jarrell Sanchez, a passionate Mathematics tutor with a Bachelors degree specializing in Mathematics and an Associates degree in Accounting. I believe in making learning engaging and interactive for my students. My teaching philosophy revolves around simplifying complex concepts, fostering critical thinking, and promoting a growth mindset. I specialize in various math subjects, including GED Math, High School Math, ACT Math, SAT Math, Probability, Trigonometry, Algebra, AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, AP Precalculus, GMAT Quantitative Reasoning, GRE Mathematics, and Calculus. I have been tutoring since middle school in the year 2000. Over time, I have had the pleasure to not only tutor students to ease them into the next level, but also learn more about how to make the concepts easier to apply. I believe in giving short quizzes to master specific concepts and teaching problem-solving strategies to simplify complex topics. Through detailed explanations and engaging sessions, I aim to boost student confidence and enable them to tackle even the most challenging math problems with ease. Whether you are a college student or at any level, my methodology will help you succeed in your math journey and excel in standardized tests like SAT, GMAT, and GRE Mathematics. It is my hope that, by teaching students in the various methods (audio, visual, hands-on), that, regardless of the student's learning style, they will be able to latch onto the concepts. I am also very attentive to when a student needs to take a brief pause, whether that is to re-center themselves from the stress or to brush up on some foundational concepts. I am prone to doing a very brief breathing exercise with the student when I sense them becoming overwhelmed by all of the information being taught. We are all humans, and sometimes, we need a break. There is no shame in that.
