Students taking the SAT in school on a weekday

The majority of American students take the SAT on weekends but a lot of high schools now offer SAT School Day. SAT school day lets you take the SAT at your school on a weekday. These tests, which are administered during an actual school day, will take the College Board longer to score.

SAT School Day will be available digitally starting in spring 2024, testing from March 4 to April 26, 2024, with release dates to be announced as soon as available.

How to check SAT scores online

The fastest way to get access to your SAT result is by creating a College Board account.

The SAT score report indicates your total score out of 1600, with the percentile in which your score falls. The report also has your test scores in Reading, Writing, Language, and Math.

To view your SAT scores:

  • Sign into your account on the College Board home page:
  • Next, click on “My SAT” to get your SAT scores.
  • You’ll then be taken to a page with your SAT results for each time you’ve taken the test.

How to send SAT scores to colleges?

Students have the chance to indicate which colleges they would like to receive their test scores on test day. The College Board lets you put down a college as the recipient of one of your free score reports. That college will get your score within 10 days of the online release of your complete score report.

The process to send SAT scores to colleges may take a few extra days for students who take the SAT with an essay.

If you order your score report after receiving your score, it usually takes 1-2 weeks for your score to arrive and be processed. To send your SAT scores and information to additional institutions,

  1. Log in to your College Board account and go to the Send SAT Scores page.
  2. Select institutions by name or code, add them to the list and choose to send all or only some of your scores.
  3. If you’ve taken the SAT multiple times, send only your best score.
  4. Review and check out.
