How to Apply For the SAT Fee Waiver?
To apply for a SAT fee waiver, you must start by speaking to your college counselor regarding your eligibility as the College Board sends the fee waivers to the high school counselors.
For home-schooled students, they need to contact a local high school counselor to get the fee waiver, if they are eligible.
Then, your counselor will give you a form to fill out and also give you a fee waiver code (if you are eligible). To prove your eligibility for the fee waiver, you need to provide necessary documents like the tax records of enrollment in any kind of aid program.
Once you are proven to be officially eligible for the SAT fee waiver, then while doing the SAT registration, you need to fill in the following information:
- 12-digit SAT fee waiver code
- Name of your counselor
- Eligibility criteria as per which you get eligible for the SAT fee waiver
Apart from the above information, you also need to fill in the basic information like your personal details, adding your picture, and selecting your exam date and location.
You need to sign in to your College Board account and click on ‘My SAT’. Then, under ‘Got a fee waiver code’, you need to enter the 12-digit fee waiver code.
Once you fill all the above information, then you are all set and successfully registered for the SAT.
