AP Score Report

What is an AP Score Report?

An AP Score Report is a document that shows your scores on the AP exams that you have taken. It is sent to you by the College Board in July after all of the AP exams have been scored.

Your AP Score Report includes the following information:

  • Your name and date of birth
  • Your AP ID number
  • The name of each AP exam that you took
  • Your score on each AP exam
  • A breakdown of your score on each AP exam, by section

Your AP Score Report is an important document because it shows colleges and universities how well you have performed on college-level courses and exams.

Colleges and universities use AP scores to make decisions about college credit, placement, and financial aid.

How to read your AP Score Report?

Your AP Score Report is easy to read. The first section of the report includes your name, date of birth, AP ID number, and the names of the AP exams that you took.

The second section of the report includes your scores on each AP exam. AP scores are reported on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the highest score. A score of 3 or higher is considered to be passing.

The third section of the report includes a breakdown of your score on each AP exam, by section. For example, if you took the AP English Literature and Composition exam, you will see a breakdown of your score by the following sections: Reading, Writing and Language, and Total.

How to use your AP Score Report?

Once you have received your AP Score Report, you can use it to make decisions about your college education. For example, you can use your AP scores to:

  • Decide which colleges and universities to apply to
  • See if you are eligible to receive college credit or placement for AP courses
  • Apply for financial aid

Where to send your AP Score Report?

You can send your AP Score Report to colleges and universities using the College Board’s Score Send service. You can also send your AP Score Report to scholarship organizations and other institutions.

In summary

Your AP Score Report is an important document that shows colleges and universities how well you have performed on college-level courses and exams.

Be sure to review your AP Score Report carefully and use it to make decisions about your college education.
