Seth Warren - Violin teacher in Gainesville
Welcome! My name is Seth — you can call me Mr. Seth, Seth, or even “Hey Fiddleman!” 😊
First off I should make clear that I’m a great tutor but should not be thought of as your primary violin teacher. I’ll be able to work with you if you have a violin and some experience with music. If you are starting from a place where you have no experience, like music and have always enjoyed violin sounds - I’m likely not your teacher. I’d suggest piano lessons or in person violin lessons in this case.
I can teach electric violin to any established player and can tutor and practice mentor with a player of any age outside of your lessons with an established orchestra or strings teacher.
I am an accomplished violin player with many years of live performance experience. Since 1995, I’ve composed and recorded string arrangements and solo acoustic/electric violin on more than 30 albums produced here in the Northwest (I even have Spotify playlists of some of these recordings I’d love to share).
I am also an educator who has worked with children aged 4–10, and I’m offering lessons here on Wiingy to beginners of any age. My teaching style is supportive, flexible, and student-centered — I work at your pace, toward your goals, and in your comfort zone.
I also play some piano and guitar, and I’m a lifelong music nerd, so we can explore music theory basics, improvisation, or draw inspiration from our favorite recordings.
I’ve performed in projects spanning classic rock, avant-garde classical, experimental, punk, country, and folk. This breadth helps me show students how violin can fit anywhere.
