About your tutor

Hello there, Robert here! I am a music composer, audio engineer, and lifelong guitarist here to help you learn to write, practice, play, perform, and produce your own music. During the day I make a living as an audio engineer, and I also write music for video games and other media! I enjoy passing along the experiences and lessons I've learned along the way so my student's do not fall for the same mistakes I did as a self-taught musician. I have a passion for helping students learn to make music, and ma ke it well. From practice regimens, to music theory, all the way to hardware and audio productions--I have you covered.

If you are like me, you hate simply being lectured at. If you are looking for a tutor who will encourage you to ask questions, engage with the material, and even contribute at times, then try a lesson with me and see how we get along! As a composer, I prefer to teach my students holistically; each member of a band or orchestra has something to contribute, and the intricate play between instruments is one of the things that can separate a good band/song from another. Students that come to me will learn how to play and practice efficiently on their own or as part of a group, and will learn to teach themselves.
