Piano, Singing, and Violin lessons designed for adaptability

Hello! I'm Jess Callaghan, a music tutor with a passion for teaching Piano, Singing, and Violin. With a Bachelors in Performing Arts specializing in Music & Musical Theatre. I believe in making learning engaging and fun for students of all levels. My teaching philosophy focuses on personalized attention, building confidence, and fostering a love for music. Let's make learning music an exciting journey together! I have years of music teaching experience as well as lived experience as a working musician and composer. My own musical journey began with piano lessons at the age of 4, then at 9 I added violin to the list, and singing at age 10. I attended an arts high school as a music-vocal major, then attended college for musical theatre, which really took my singing and overall understanding of music to the next level. My music education is mostly aligned with the Royal Conservatory of Music; since 2012 my own music education has leaned more towards jazz, but my foundation is primarily classical with regard to piano and violin. For voice, along with my strong classical foundation I am also well versed in more contemporary techniques in jazz, musical theatre, and pop.
