ESL & ACT Writing with interactive and problem-solving techniques

My teaching methodology for ACT Writing is built around the core values of Motivation, Patience, Compassion, and Creativity. I believe that each student has their own unique learning style, and I aim to adapt my lessons to meet their specific needs, creating a positive and personalized learning environment. To begin, I motivate students by setting clear goals and celebrating their progress, helping them build confidence in their writing abilities. I use real-world examples and creative writing exercises to make learning engaging, allowing students to apply their skills in practical contexts. This keeps the lessons interesting and shows them the relevance of what they are learning. Patience is key to my approach. I take the time to explain concepts thoroughly, breaking down complex writing tasks into manageable steps. Compassion is at the heart of my teaching, as I understand the pressures of standardized testing. I am always encouraging and provide a safe space where students feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them. I also use a variety of strategies to improve students’ writing, from brainstorming and organizing ideas to crafting strong arguments and revising drafts. My goal is to help students not only prepare for the ACT but also become better writers overall.
