Creative history lessons with supportive guidance

My teaching approach is centered on communication, empathy, collaboration, and integrity, which are essential for mastering AP US History. I foster open communication, encouraging students to ask questions and share their thoughts on key topics like the American Revolution, Civil War, Reconstruction, and the Civil Rights Movement. By understanding each student’s unique challenges, I tailor my lessons to meet their needs and help them engage deeply with the material. Empathy plays a key role in my teaching, creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable and motivated. I encourage collaboration, guiding students through discussions and analysis of primary sources to develop critical thinking skills. Integrity is at the core of my feedback, ensuring students receive honest, constructive guidance to help them succeed. In addition to AP US History, I offer support in related subjects, helping students see the connections between historical events and broader social, political, and cultural contexts. My goal is to make history meaningful and accessible while promoting a lasting interest in the subject.
