English & ACT Writing with an elaborative and structured approach

As an ESL, IELTS, and English tutor, I believe in an Elaborative, Interactive and Structured teaching methodology to engage students at all levels. I make sure to choose reading materials that align with the interests of my students, be it fiction or technical writing. By incorporating peer reviews, I encourage constructive feedback and foster a sense of community in the learning process. I assess students' reading and writing skills meticulously and tailor a systematic plan to enhance their abilities. My goal is to make learning English enjoyable and effective for adult, professional, and college students alike.In my teaching, the methodology I take could emphasise communicative and student-centered learning. In these processes, I might prioritise language acquisition through real-life contexts, focusing on speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. Lessons could also be tailored to individual learner needs, promoting active participation through discussions, role-playing, and group activities. Incorporate multimedia, authentic texts, and technology to enhance engagement, encouraging learners to use English in practical situations is also utilised. I also adopt a task-based approach, where students complete specific tasks that mimic real-world challenges. Feedback is continuous, helping students develop accuracy and fluency. Finally, I make sure the emphasis of cultural awareness and global communication skills, fostering a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable experimenting with language and learning from their mistakes.
