Hands-on High School Math lessons with practical problem solving

MY ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENTS: > A Physics graduate from the University of Leicester (I used to fail physics in secondary school with D grades) > Was awarded 3 scholarships in my 1st year of university (1 scholarship based on academic achievement + 2 scholarships for coming from a disadvantaged background) > Attained a First Class, ranking 11th/104 in my cohort in 1st-year examinations (whilst fasting during Ramadhan, with debilitating anxiety) > A*/A grades in A-level Maths and Physics in sixth form, winning the Trustee's Prize in Mathematics & T.C Edwards Memorial Prize in Physics (Initially, I was targeted B/C grades in Maths & Physics at the start of Yr 12, but improved by 2 whole grades, thus was awarded a Governor's Leaving Scholarship for outstanding improvement). > Selected to compete in the PLANCKS UK Preliminaries, a national Theoretical Physics competition for university students across the U.K. > Bronze certificates in math challenges such as the Senior Maths Challenge, and Intermediate Maths Challenge & took part in the A2 Physics Challenge. > Gained offers to study maths & physics at 5 universities, including Liverpool, Loughborough and Nottingham (Also, I am the first person in my family to study a physics degree) Disclaimer: (A while ago, I read an article which stated that tutoring is the amalgamation of 3 roles: teaching, coaching and mentoring & that the best tutors, to varying degrees, undertake all 3 of these roles within their lessons. I have accumulated a wealth of tutoring experience, which I believe makes me an outstanding tutor.) MY TUTORING EXPERIENCE + WHAT I OFFER TO HELP YOU WITH: #1) (Teaching): I helped A-level Physics students on math-based problems in workshops for 5 months, as a voluntary Maths-for-Physics helper during Year 13. Tuition-wise, I have garnered ~ 100 hours of experience across over 50 lessons, tutoring 7 students and have improved grades of E/U students. I am a highly sought-after tutor on this platform, with over 50 enquiries in the past year to teach. (What I offer to help you with): I specialise in teaching the (AQA) A-level Maths & (OCR A) A-level Physics syllabi, as I took my subjects under these exam boards, but generally can tutor well across all other exam boards. I specialise in teaching A-level Physics & A-level Maths (inc. Pure + Mechanics), having averaged 93% across 4 Pure & 2 Mechanics modules in sixth form. #2) (Coaching): I was shortlisted for the UoL SU 'Peer Support Award' for delivering an independent talk entitled "How To Study: A Scientific Perspective" [x6] across my university and have founded my Instagram study page. (What I offer to help you with): I can coach you to become an outstanding learner: I have in-depth knowledge about a full suite of evidence-based learning techniques, from mastery learning, spaced repetition, active recall, interleaved practice, the Layering Method, categorisation, and many more. #3) (Mentoring): I helped 10 first-year students transition into university life, as a Physics Peer Mentor in my 2nd year of university and have been promoted as the Lead Peer Mentor in my final year. I also advised 4 sixth-form/mature students aspiring to study Physics at university, as a BrightSide Online Mentor. (What I offer to help you with): I offer personalised support for Physics & Maths uni applications e.g. constructing personal statements, what university to go to, and UCAS advice. I also offer guidance for HE topics e.g. making the most of sixth-form and university, what student life is like, applying for university scholarships and more. Although I must make this clear, I am NOT A COUNSELLOR, I am A MENTOR; very subtle but big difference!
