Firstly, you need to understand the student’s goals. Some students seek to learn to play a new musical instrument just as a way to escape the stress of everyday life, others want to fulfill their dream of playing the songs they like most and playing in a circle of friends, others still want to play in church, etc. There are also students who want to delve deeper into learning across the spectrum that music offers: techniques, harmony, improvisation, sheet music, composition, etc. Each student has a profile and their own learning pace. Therefore, an adapted and personalized study schedule must be created taking into account the particularities of each student. In general, regardless of the student's objective, the proposed methodology is based on the development of basic techniques at first, aiming for a better future understanding of theoretical aspects of the instrument and music in general. Furthermore, the student must feel motivated from the first class. Therefore, from the first lessons I try to get the student to play some music so that they realize they are capable of playing the instrument.
