Greetings, I am Brian, a seasoned guitarist and dedicated music educator with over three decades of experience in performance and instruction. My musical journey began in a family deeply immersed in music, where my brothers introduced me to the guitar in the mid-1980s. This early exposure ignited what would become a lifelong passion and profession. After receiving my first guitar in 1985, I devoted myself to mastering the instrument, culminating in the start of my teaching career in 1990. From 1993 to 2005, I established myself as a professional musician, contributing to over ten albums and participating in numerous recording sessions across multiple studios. These experiences allowed me to collaborate with diverse musicians while performing at venues throughout various states, enriching my understanding of different musical styles and performance techniques. Although I transitioned from professional performance in 2005, my commitment to education has only strengthened. I have since dedicated myself to teaching, expanding my expertise beyond music to include martial arts instruction (2005-2020) and English as a Second Language education. This diverse teaching background has enhanced my ability to connect with students of all ages and skill levels, from beginners taking their first steps into music to advanced players seeking to refine their technique. My teaching philosophy centers on personalized instruction tailored to each student's individual goals and learning style. I continuously strive to enhance my teaching methods, drawing from my extensive experience and cross-disciplinary teaching background.
