About your tutor

I have always been passionate about teaching, and so I have taken relevant courses and steps to achieve this goal. I possess all the qualities that a teacher needs to have, such as being focussed on the pupil, and using good communication skills and the ability to convey the matter to others with ease. I am currently completing my MSci in Mathematics ad Statistical Analysis. I had worked as a Math and Guitar tutor for around about 1 year and I received lots of positive feedback from the students and even from the parents. I feel communication is important to help the student, and I am happy to discuss anything with the parents.

Teaching methodology

My tutoring sessions are very well detailed, and tailored to what the student needs to build up their knowledge and confidence. I feel like the best way to help students is to build up their weaknesses, and turn these into strengths, as this can build confidence. The learner must feel that what they are learning is engaging and beneficial to them, and for this reason, tutoring take the form of helping my students with their weaknesses or with something they would like to learn as extra, or I can focus on homework and test preparation if the student needs this. Basically, the student and their needs is central to my teaching methodology. I always take regular feedback from my students and parents and also give my feedback on the students performance, so that the tutoring sessions are effective for the learner. I can also give feedback to the parents, if requested, so that they are aware of the level that their child is performing at, how this could be improved, and also how to help them best.
