Watching my future through requirements and investigation

When I look at a university, I tend to watch only the most known of them like Harvard, Oxford, or others. This habit causes me to avoid watching others, which could also be a good option to consider. That’s why I had to develop a method to manage my problem which consists of requirements. I have 4 of them but the last one is to exclude the most known universities, so it doesn’t count. My criteria for choosing universities include Financial Aid, Academic Quality, and Network.

Let me start with Financial Aid. I’m not rich and didn’t win the lottery. Also, I don’t want to take a loan although I will have to. That’s why I need the University to have scholarships and grants. I would want more grants than scholarships but that’s not possible. Both could reduce the money burden on my family and myself. A work-study program is also part of this requirement. This could help me avoid spending a lot of fuel and time apart from gaining experience and networking. The third sub-point and last one of these requirements are the loans which, even if I don’t want to take any, are important if there’s an emergency.

Then I have Academic Quality. It is important to know if I’m putting myself in a place where I can get more advantages to get a job or connections in the future apart from getting just a certification. So, accreditation is important. I want to ensure that the University I’m attending has the accreditation of relevant education authorities to avoid problems like my certificate stopping being valid. My second sub-requirement is research opportunities. I want to lead my career in the part of science. So, it would be perfect if there were research opportunities to use my abilities on.

Lastly, I have the Networking requirement. I’m still struggling to comprehend that so it’s still simple but from my research, I got two sub-requirements which are Alumni Succes and Industry Connections. I watch the Alumni’s success along with the ratio of people who graduate from that university. Let’s say that the university has a very low graduate rate, but a large percentage of achievements made by their graduates, that’s a good university to choose and the most ideal one. My second requirement is just to get a job as fast as possible or even better, get it while studying at the University.
In closing, my university requirements revolve around three criteria which are financial aid, academic quality, and the network. Considering this requirement, I need to carefully choose a university that not only helps financially through scholarships and grants and work-study programs but also maintains a high standard in academic fields of my interest while allowing me to gain connections that would allow me to get a good job and eventually succeed.
