"My new tool, AI"

Prior to my current study habits, I lacked studying skills and only relied on making handwritten flashcards with the notes that were provided by my teachers. I was unfamiliar with what other study skills resources were available for me. In my junior year of high school, my learning goals expanded due to my encounter with AI. I started to use AI for the first time for school purposes only within my college history course. My history teacher taught us how to properly and maturely manage AI, especially for college material. My teacher taught us that AI should only be used as a reference, for instance, to see examples of what our essays or responses should look like in a situation where we come across a prompt that we are confused with. Therefore, AI should be utilized but should not be taken advantage of.
In my time studying, I mostly use Quizlet for the electronic flashcards it has to offer. About half a year ago they added an academic AI chat that an individual could use to ask clarification questions under a specific subject. This AI works as a 24/7 tutor however, works more efficiently. I continue to use it because it provides me with direct information on questions that I have, and then it quizzes me on a similar subject to expand my knowledge of the subject. Another great thing that I enjoy about AI chat tutor on Quizlet is that it provides its responses in saved text or written format. Therefore, it allows me as a learner to review the material and it gives me as much time to fully grasp the information. Overall it is much more convenient to use AI for clarification of school subjects because it does not give you the runaround. Unlike conventional Google websites that provide what feels like infinite responses to a single question. The options feel endless and therefore, feel overwhelming when having to revisit.
The fact that AI is powered by robots who do not have a way of functioning feelings is comforting to me because I know for sure that I will not be judged for whatever questions I make or suggestions I make. I now have noticed that it has positively changed my way of thinking. For instance, now I am more curious even about the most common subjects that surround society today. This desire for upbringing has fed my motivation to also take my next steps in life into a university to learn about how I can positively impact the world around me.
