Hi! I've been a guitarist for 20 years, a teacher for over 6 and a professional in the music industry for 12. I specialise in personalised lessons tailored to the individual student, and believe that the number one key to a successful relationship with the guitar is to enjoy playing the instrument. Playing the guitar can be the most cathartic, enjoyable experience in the world, or it can be intensely frustrating. I have seen guitarists of all skill levels quit playing, simply because they stopped enjoying the instrument. I ensure that all my students, above all else, continue to enjoy lessons as well as their own musical journey outside of classes. I will work with you to find your aims as a guitarist and musician, whether that is to accompany your voice as a songwriter or to shred like your favourite soloist, and tailor your course to ensure you progress in a way that feels natural and fun. I have a First Class Honours in Professional Musicianship, a high level of experience as a performer and session musician, have made several albums and EP's in professional studios and toured internationally with my band Haunt the Woods.
