Hello! I’m Mirian Otero Martínez. I have always been passionate about languages and education. I hold a Master's degree in Advanced English Studies from the University of Vigo, and I also have a degree in English philology. Over the years, I've specialized in teaching both English and Spanish as a second language. I am certified as an Official Spanish Examiner for the DELE exams and have completed a remote teaching trainer course to improve my online teaching skills. What I love most about teaching is helping students connect with the language and culture, as It is key to understand the language system. I’ve had the chance to teach a second language in Spain and the UK which has enriched my teaching style and approach. As a Spanish and AP Spanish Language and Culture tutor. I work with all ages, especially with Adult and Professional learners of all levels. My teaching style is interactive, supportive, collaborative, empathetic, and motivational. I provide written feedback on grammar and vocabulary to help you communicate effectively in Spanish. I help to improve fluency and cultural understanding, combining different activities mainly based on the communicative approach (that it is a method of learning a second language using communicative needs in context) although I can combine another method if the objective of the student implies more skills.
