Collaborative and engaging Guitar and Violin tutor with practical, problem-solving techniques

As a Guitar teacher, I believe in having a personalized teaching approach for students of all levels. My teaching style focuses primarily on problem-solving, adaptability, and engagement. I like to encourage my students to perform music in multiple styles, compose their own music, and listen to music outside of their comfort zone. The teaching method I primarily use is the Aaron Shearer method, which focuses on a symbiotic relationship between performance and learning music theory. I use performance assessments and theory quizzes to track progress and provide audio and video feedback on musical performances. I strive to make learning an enjoyable and rewarding experience for each student.
