University of Sherbrooke Violin Lessons: Technique, Theory, Repertoire & More

My personalized tutoring approach revolves around creating a dynamic and engaging learning environment tailored to the individual needs of each student. I blend progressive instruction with a strong focus on technique and theory integration across a diverse range of violin genres, including classical, jazz, electric, and more. By incorporating performance coaching, I help students refine their skills and develop a deep understanding of the music they are playing. To enhance the learning experience, I leverage a variety of tech tools such as DAWs, ear training software, and virtual violin apps. These tools not only make lessons interactive but also provide valuable support in areas like fingerboard chart memorization, rhythm training, and tuning. I follow a flexible curriculum that aligns with various educational standards like A-Levels, AP Program, IB, and more, ensuring that students receive a well-rounded education. My teaching caters to a small audience of less than 10 students, encompassing school, college, and adult/professional levels. Through my methodology, I aim to instill a love for music while nurturing technical proficiency, helping students progress at their own pace and unlock their full potential in violin playing.
