Hands-on Piano & Guitar lessons with creative problem solving

As a versatile teacher and tutor in violin, piano, guitar, voice, and ukulele for students of all levels, my teaching style focuses on an interactive, structured, creative, and systematic approach. This also comes from having a background in Music Therapy, in which my main focus is on the strengths of the individual and in helping them to achieve success as early as possible. I believe in engaging my students through hands-on and practical lessons that are both creative and enjoyable. I feel that having an understanding of basic music theory is important for becoming an all-around more versatile musician and so dedicate a little bit of time each lesson to reviewing or learning music theory concepts. Specializing in technical skills, artistry, and creativity in all areas from performance to composition and improvisation, I offer personalized and specific suggestions for improvement. My emphasis lies in honing technique, expression, and creativity to help you perform, compose, or simply enjoy music on a deeper level. I absolutely love making music and that's really why I do this; I want to help others find that same passion and love for music that just keeps on giving back.
