Piano & Singing that’s hands-on & creative

My teaching methodology is focused on hands-on and practical activities contextualized within the student's musical and cultural background and interests. In order to allow deep and lasting learning experiences, we will be connecting various concepts to each practical exercise, so the student gets a more complete grasp of the subject at study. I focus on creativity and details to help students understand music deeply and in a way that will enrich and nurture a relationship towards studying that is sustainable on a long term. I find one of the greatest challenges in education is learning how to study in an engaging way and part of my goals is to help my students find the right approach for their unique process and artistic and/or personal goals. I offer personalized suggestions for improvement to develop both technical skills and creativity in performance and composition. I believe learners at any stage have interesting and valuable music to make and through this personalized approach my goal is to help my students find their own voice and take it as far as they wish to. Many of my students have performed on stage at events and pursued professional careers in music and I believe it has been thanks to that pursuit of self-knowledge within their musical process.
