About your tutor

Kori-Ann Hermitt, a Bachelor of Arts degree graduate of the University of St. Thomas was raised in Kingston, Jamaica. Playful yet introspective, her very versatile tone reflects her love for musical theatre, R&B, Souls, Jazz, reggae, and Gospel. Her notable past performances & accomplishments include: Representing Jamaica at the global biennial Teen Talent Competition in 2019 held in Cleveland Tennessee; becoming a 2023 Greenroom Fellow at the Ordway Center For Performing Arts, performing as Princess Tiana at Minnesota’s first ever Disney princess cabaret in 2023, being a part of Aspire Academy’s 2024 stars on Broadway show, a current member of the Titambe West African Dance Ensemble; performed as a backup vocalist for international gospel artiste, Judith Gayle and becoming a cast member of The Disney musical, Newsies at Artistry 2024. Kori-Ann continues to focus on pursuing her goal of becoming a professional and well-known Broadway performer. She wishes to empower and instigate healing in the hearts of all through the creative arts.

My tutoring sessions are aligned with the needs of the student. I spend time getting to know my students separate and apart from their talent to have a better understanding of who they are as a person. This helps me to connect with them on a deeper level, which helps me to better cater to their needs as an artiste. My vibrant personality helps me to get along well with my students. I aim to build my students' confidence for them to be sure about who they are. My motto is " Knowing who you are and what you're called to is your greatest superpower".
