Architecture concept taught by SOWMIYA
The Tutor introduced AutoCAD, covering the interface, setting units, and basic drawing tools like lines, polylines, circles, arcs, rectangles, polygons, and ellipses. The Student learned about command shortcuts, ortho mode, polar tracking, and zooming/panning. The next session is scheduled to practice using AutoCAD with the student sharing their screen.
AutoCAD Interface Basics
Setting Units
Line Command and Ortho Mode
Polyline vs. Line
Drawing Circles
Polar Tracking for Angled Lines
The student learned about counting objects, using the quick select function, hatching techniques, table creation, stretching objects and using the break command within AutoCAD. The tutor demonstrated the selection tools, hatch patterns, and object manipulation techniques. Due to feeling unwell, the tutor suggested continuing the class next week.

The Tutor guided the student through advanced AutoCAD techniques, covering topics such as window creation, the use of Excel lines for drafting, text implementation, dimensioning, and staircase representation in architectural plans. The Student will practice the techniques and commands discussed during the session and will review any questions with the Tutor in a future session.

The session involved a review of AutoCAD commands, learning how to import and accurately scale a PDF floor plan, setting up layers, and efficient drafting techniques using offset, trim, and extend commands. The Student practiced placing doors and mirroring them correctly. The Tutor assigned practicing these techniques as a follow-up, with a focus on windows in the next class.

Block Command
The Student learned about several AutoCAD commands including Join, Blocks, Dim Continuous, Arrays, Select Similar, and Match Properties. The session involved demonstrations of how to use these commands to efficiently create and modify drawings. The tutor plans to cover Quick Select in the next session, which is an advanced tool for selecting objects by layer or color.

The Tutor guided the Student through the process of creating a basic house plan in AutoCAD, focusing on using layers, offset, polyline, trim, and dimensioning. The Student practiced drawing walls, windows, and adding text annotations to the plan. They will continue working on architectural drawings and explore more advanced features in the next session.
