Architecture & AutoCAD training for creative minds

With over five years of experience in architecture and academics, I am passionate about designing and preserving culturally responsive and sustainable built environments. I was a project architect and lead faculty on multiple courses at Himalayan Institute of Alternatives, Ladakh, where I worked under the guidance of innovator and reformist Mr Sonam Wanchuk and CEO Gitanjali JB on creating innovative and alternative solutions for education, construction and livelihood in the Cold desert of Himalayan region. I am motivated by the vision of empowering the local communities and promoting their rich heritage and ecology. As a project architect, I was responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and executing various Passive solar heated building projects of institutional scale, such as staff housing, academic-admin blocks, multipurpose hall, and green houses, using Eco-friendly materials, alternative construction techniques (passive heated), and culturally responsive (Ladakhi) aesthetics. I also worked extensively on Bill of Quantity during my tenure at HIAL. I also develop and deliver courses on digital heritage, vernacular architecture, and heritage documentation for students and professionals. Some of my notable achievements include preparing and presenting the Expression Of Interest for the restoration of temples in Kashi Corridor Project by the Government of India, and conducting field work and conditional mapping of ancient temples in Karnataka. I have acquired skills in academic research, field work, course development, curriculum writing and skill development through my previous roles as a conservation architect at KSCCAH and an assistant professor at K. S. School of Architecture.
