Hands-on Economics & Accounting lessons

Hi there! I am a 3rd year Arts and Sciences student majoring in Economics and Political Science at the University of Toronto - St. George. The best way for a student to learn something is through other students! I have a background in studying Economics and Math for over 6 years and have been in good academic standing for both IB Diploma Program Mathematics and Economics as well as University-level courses. I believe that my background in academia, strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills, problem-solving in time-sensitive situations, as well as initiative and passion for teaching, equip me to be able to help fellow students as much as possible. My areas of expertise are high-school-level Math, high-school-level and university-level Economics. In addition to these, I have good knowledge of foreign languages such as Spanish, subjects such as English and History, as well as Elementary Python Programming.

I offer tutoring sessions on Math and Economics to high school and first-year university undergraduates. Topics in Mathematics tend towards Calculus and Functions, whereas in Economics I am flexible within Micro and Macroeconomics. Common to both, I can also help with Statistics and Econometrics students. Generally, I focus on understanding the unique requirements of every student. I explain every concept in the most simplified way I can, and am keen on listening to students' doubts as well as providing clarifications to them. I keep my students engaged through discussions, example question solving, and further practice test questions. As a fellow student, I understand the fast and dynamic environment there is for learning. As such I ensure that no matter what, a student can learn a topic as quickly as possible without compromising on the quality of instruction. From explaining a concept for the first time to designing a practice test, I do it with 110% efficiency and effort to guarantee a 100% improvement in a student's results!
