Architecture concept taught by Natasha
Assistance was provided to a student from the University of Texas at Dallas with resolving formatting issues in Canva for a design assignment and accessing SketchUp files through Layout. They troubleshooted printing problems in Canva and accessing 3D models in SketchUp by unlocking the file in Layout and opening it in the correct version of SketchUp. The instructor will adjust the Canva file and send it to the student.

Natasha provided Tamara with a SketchUp lesson, where they focused on modeling her house's floor plan by creating walls, stairs, and door openings. Tamara gained practical experience with the software, practicing the push/pull tool, move command, and grouping techniques to accurately represent architectural elements. Natasha plans to create window openings in the model, and Tamara will send the updated file before their next lesson on Tuesday at 8:30 AM, when they will continue refining the design.

During their recent SketchUp lesson, Natasha helped Tamara model a house, emphasizing accurate dimensions and architectural details such as the utility room. Tamara honed her skills by practicing with measurement tools, creating groups, and adjusting wall heights. Looking ahead, Tamara will work on interior walls, while Natasha will add doors and windows before their subsequent lesson.

Hang Pham and Natasha Satyawali discussed architectural drafting standards in Australia, focusing on roof construction, parapet walls, and box gutters. Natasha was assigned the task of creating a 3D kitchen model in Revit, adhering to specific Australian design standards and dimensions, for completion within half an hour. Hang will send a list of items Natasha needs to prepare to continue working on similar projects.

Natasha and Hang worked on a Revit project, focusing on residential architecture. They covered project setup, scaling PDFs, creating levels and walls, and placing doors and windows. Hang will send Natasha a Revit file and a list of vendors for doors and windows, and they scheduled a follow-up session to continue working on the project.
