Architecture concepts taught by Natasha
The Student practiced manipulating Revit schedules to include cost information and improve the layout. They also worked on rendering, focusing on setting up camera views and applying Enscape materials to a floor. The session concluded with plans to continue refining rendering techniques and material selection in the next session.
Working with Schedules in Revit
Moving and Tagging Objects
Adding Cost Information
Camera Views and Orbiting
Filtering Schedule Content
Applying Materials and Rendering
Floor Layer Configuration
The Student and Tutor worked on refining the design and texturing of a 3D model in SketchUp. The session covered editing textures, tagging objects, manipulating colors, importing images, and smoothing edges to enhance the model's appearance. The tutor will send the student a drawing for tracing.

The student was introduced to creating glass buildings and various roof types in Revit, focusing on techniques suitable for designing a vertical agriculture structure. The session covered curtain walls, mullions, and roof design using both footprint and extrusion methods. The student will create a document outlining building types and references for the next session.
Curtain Walls: Basic Glass Building Construction
Attaching Walls to Roofs
Roofs by Extrusion: Creating Complex Roof Shapes
Roof Slopes: Units and Degrees
Roofs by Footprint: Creating Sloped Roofs
Mullions: Adding Grids to Curtain Walls
Setting Wall Height: Levels vs. Unconnected
The session involved using SketchUp to design a curved wall, using the follow me tool and shape bender. The student faced challenges in achieving a smooth curve and properly connecting design elements. The Tutor suggested further research on contour tools and shape bending for next session, where they will continue working on the wall design.
SketchUp: Hiding and Unhiding Objects
Exploding in SketchUp
Grouping in SketchUp
Scaling in SketchUp
SketchUp Arc Tool
SketchUp Follow Me Tool
The Student and Tutor worked on Assignment 13, modeling a 3D duck in Rhino. The session covered rebuilding shapes, manipulating control points, splitting and trimming surfaces, creating and positioning the eye, and blending surfaces. The student is to attempt Assignment 14 before the next session on Friday.

The Tutor guided the student through various SketchUp tools to redesign a room, focusing on creating windows and aligning objects. The student practiced rotating, copying, and aligning windows, as well as using the line and offset tools to create custom window shapes. The student is to continue working on the design and will review the project with the Tutor in the next session.
