Fueling Futures: Economics and Finance with a Personal Touch

Hi, I am Deepti, professor/tutor for college level maths, stats/calculus, economics, econometrics, mathematical economics; I hold a graduate degree in statistics , a Masters in Management Studies from Mumbai, and MS-Economics and Finance from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville, IL, USA. I have more than ten years of tutoring experience and have been in the academia as well. I believe, each student has an intellectual potential and capacity that needs to be brought to surface and put to the best use. And trust me, it is only a good teacher who can do the same. I understand that in this era, we do label students as below average, average, above average, brilliant and so on... however, irrespective of whether a student considers himself/herself to be belonging to any of the above categories, I would like to take them further from where they presently stand and explore the subject (quant related subjects) in a different and enjoyable way.

The first class will focus on understanding the student's strengths and weaknesses in the subject. From the subsequent class, the focus is on building up the subject right from the basics with detailed conceptual understanding with a lot of examples; and then slowly delving into the sums and theory as required. As a tutor my focus would be that student develops an interest in the subject and enjoys learning it; as it will most likely be a one on one session, the total focus will be on the individual student's learning and skill development and to foster a healthy intellectually enriching environment to accompany the same.
