Collaborative and supportive tutor for Geometry, Algebra, and Calculus

My name is Hailey and I possess in-depth knowledge and expertise in the field of mathematics. I possess a PhD in mathematics from University of California, Irvine, and I have 9 years of teaching experience in this field of study.  I seek out arithmetic, problem-solving, and analytical reasoning skills from the students through concept-based questions and activities. I became a tutor becuase of my general love for spreading knowledge and also because I hold so much love for the subject of mathematics.

I believe Algebra as a subject require not only attention to detail but also good command over the subject and good problem-solving skills. To hone these talents among the students, I will first conduct a simple test to judge the students conceptual understanding and time management skills. Based on the results of the test, I will provide tips and techniques for the students to use to learn the concepts of Algebra. I will go over the foundations of the subject and highlight the important formulaes and theoretical concepts of the subject clearly to iron out any misconceptions the student may have.
