They reviewed "Old McDonald" and started a new song, focusing on correct finger placement and understanding quarter and half notes. The student was assigned to continue practicing both songs during the holiday break.

They began learning a new song, identifying notes and finger positions, and were introduced to sharp notes and black keys. The student was assigned to practice the "Mexican Hat Dance" with a metronome at 80 bpm and to practice the first line of the new song with both hands, counting the rhythm.
