Hi, I'm Amy Daja, an experienced architectural educator specialising in SketchUp. My teaching philosophy revolves around making engaging and practical sessions where we solve problems together. I have been using SketchUp for over a year professionally and a year in my education. I can start teaching from basic modelling skills to helping create animations and visualisations on SketchUp. My work has provided me with the tools to take a project from the conceptual stage to the final design. As a SketchUp tutor, I specialise in teaching students of all levels - school, college and adults. My teaching methodology revolves around model making, where I focus on creating personalised CAD projects based on the student's interests. The most effective way to learn 3D modelling software is by attempting a project that utilises all the tools available. Whilst teaching the key skills is very important, one must also know how to solve problems when faced with technical difficulties to continue developing their skills. I have worked on SketchUp in both Mac and Windows interfaces and can adapt my teaching to either one. I will teach how to model both cleanly and efficiently to instil good habits to make your life easier as a project develops and files become very heavy.
