Engaging ACT Math lessons with hands-on problem solving

I am a student at the University of Edinburgh pursuing an MPhys in Computational Physics. My passion for math and physics has been lifelong, and I have always enjoyed learning. As a student, I refined my study skills, recognizing their importance in effective learning. I began freelancing as a tutor during high school and later expanded to work with various companies to reach a broader audience. With over five years of experience in both online and in-person teaching, I have taught children aged 8 to 19 in physics, math, and English across multiple exam boards.

My teaching methodology focuses on fostering a deep understanding of the subject matter while adapting to each student's unique learning style. I prioritize building a strong foundation by breaking down complex concepts into manageable parts and using real-world examples to illustrate their relevance. I employ a mix of interactive activities, problem-solving exercises, and regular assessments to track progress and adjust my approach as needed. Encouraging open communication and creating a supportive environment are key components of my approach, ensuring that students feel confident and motivated to achieve their academic goals.
