Hi, I'm Dillon, a guitarist and audio engineer based in London, UK. I have been playing guitar for over 10 years, during which I have studied under some of the UK's most celebrated jazz musicians. I hold a first-class degree in music from the University of Manchester, as well as a Grade 8 certification in electric guitar. I have 7 years of teaching experience, specialising in Jazz, RnB and Rock. I offer a highly personalised curriculum, guiding students in the development of their own musical identity, while ensuring correct technique and a robust theoretical understanding. I have experience with students of all ages, and I have a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) background check certificate necessary for teaching small children and vulnerable adults.

My principle goal as a tutor is to guide students in the development of their own unique sound and identity, whatever that may involve. As such, my approach to teaching is student-led, with a curriculum shaped by their personal goals, interests, and blind spots. I have been described as patient and receptive teacher. From the very start of each student's journey, I make sure to reinforce correct technique and a strong theoretical understanding, as well as proven strategies for independent practice. Please note that because of this personalised approach, I generally do not take on students for graded examinations.
