French tutoring that’s interactive & supportive

Hi I'm Sofia, I graduated with a Bachelor's degree majoring in Sociology and minoring in French and English. My philosophy for teaching is to be engaging, encouraging, and patient with my students. I want to make sure my students are able to understand the material and be able to apply it in real-life scenarios. I have over a year of French and English tutoring experience and I am more than eager to help students improve their French and English skills. I am passionate about what I do, and I am currently in the process of applying to Teacher's college to become a certified French teacher, and make learning enjoyable!

As a French tutor for school students, I believe in an engaging and collaborative teaching approach. I am patient and supportive, creating an interactive environment for learning. I use written comments to improve grammar and vocabulary, giving examples for better understanding. Additionally, I tailor my teaching to each student's language proficiency and provide feedback on pronunciation and fluency in spoken assignments. Role-play scenarios and cultural projects are also incorporated to assess understanding of Francophone cultures. These are all important aspects I use in my teaching methods so the students can feel comfortable when applying it in real life.
