Problem solving AP history and English language lessons

My teaching approach to AP US History focuses on flexibility, collaboration, and creativity to make history both understandable and interesting for every student. I adapt my lessons to each student’s learning style, ensuring that all topics—such as colonial America, the Constitution, the Civil War, Reconstruction, the Great Depression, and 20th-century America—are presented in a way that is engaging and accessible. I believe in collaboration and open communication, where students feel comfortable asking questions and discussing ideas. This approach encourages active learning, helping students gain a deeper understanding of the subject matter. I use creative methods like multimedia resources, historical documents, and interactive activities to bring history to life, making complex events and themes easier to grasp. Integrity is key in my teaching. I provide honest, constructive feedback and guide students to think critically, not just memorize facts. My goal is to help students not only excel in the AP exam but also develop a lasting appreciation for U.S. history. Whether students need help with specific periods or want to strengthen their overall knowledge, my approach is designed to support their growth and success.
