Violin lessons overview

As a violin tutor specializing in personalized tutoring, I craft interactive lessons tailored to each student's pace and needs. My teaching style emphasizes performance coaching, ear training, and integrating theory seamlessly. I cover a range of violin subjects, including acoustic, baroque, fiddle, and student violin. To enhance learning, I leverage tech tools like DAWs, metronome apps, and virtual violin apps both online and offline. I follow various curricula like A-Levels (UK) and Common Core State Standards (USA) to ensure comprehensive learning. With a focus on school-level students in small groups, I create a supportive environment where students receive individual attention to excel in their violin lessons effectively.

My musical journey took a significant leap forward, thanks to Matthew and his guidance. I am 50 years old and have never played violin before in my life but Matthew was so patient with me and made me feel so comfortable. He helped me correct my posture while playing and gave me exercises to learn bowing better. I have now started playing folk pieces on my violin and can confidently read music theories too. He is an outstanding tutor for adult beginners and would recommend him to anyone looking for one!

Learning electric violin with Matthew has been a game-changer for me. he breaks down bowing techniques in a way that finally makes sense, and his clear, patient guidance on finger placement really stands out. Thanks to his steady and supportive teaching style, I recently performed a solo at a school event something I wouldn’t have believed possible just a short while ago.
