Hello! My name is Mukosolu, and I specialize in tutoring Economics, Statistics and Finance. With a master’s degree in economics, plus 10+ years of tutoring experience, I have a strong foundation to teach Economics, Finance, AP Macroeconomics, AP Microeconomics, and Business to students at all levels. My teaching philosophy revolves around making complex concepts easy to understand by breaking them down into simpler terms. I believe in creating an interactive learning environment where students actively participate in discussions, ask questions, and engage in real-world applications of the subjects. I have been tutoring for 10 years and have tutored both high school, undergraduate and graduate students (master’s and PhD students), thus I do have the necessary experience to make a great learning experience. I use various student engagement strategies such as case studies, group projects, and real-life examples to make learning fun and relatable. My goal is to not only help students excel academically but also to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation for Business & Economics. From my 10 years of tutoring experience, I have learned that the same teaching methodology does not work for everybody. I can read and understand anything independently, but I know that everybody is not imbued with the same strength and that different people learn differently. Thus, I try and tailor my teaching to the student's needs. I can deduce the appropriate teaching methodology for a student during the first few minutes of the session, and then adapt my teaching method towards the student's needs. As an Economics, Business and Finance tutor, I cater to students of all levels, having taught high school, undergraduate and graduate students (both master’s and PhD students). There is not one teaching style that works for all students but mostly, my teaching style is demonstrative, problem-solving, and lecture-based. I aim to make lessons informative, interactive, hands-on, and practical. I focus on preparing students for success in exams and future careers in business. I help students understand economic principles and how they apply them in the real world. My goal is to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in their academic endeavours and potential future ventures, such as starting their businesses.
