Math Marvel: Unleashing Creativity Through Hands-On Problem Solving!

Hi, I'm Fifi, a mathematics tutor with a passion for making learning engaging and enjoyable. With a degree in Industrial Design, I bring a unique perspective to teaching elementary, middle, and high school math. My teaching philosophy revolves around making concepts understandable and relatable to each student. Especially with some experiences on working with students with special education needs, as well as experiences of teaching arts along with multiple fields of knowledges, I am kind of good at visual convey and respect diverse ways of learning. Looking back to my childhood, I was a gifted and talented student with creative thoughts on problems solving within different subjects. I realize that different students have different kinds of talents, so that when education methods don't fit an individual's style, he or she may fall behind on the course pace, lose confidence, and not passionate on these knowledges more. I started to make interesting materials of learning and help several classmates with their studies. Some students who were regarded to be impossible to understand maths and sciences find their ways and be more confident to get good grades on basic knowledge exams. Old stories to tell... I believe in fostering a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. By using real-world examples and interactive activities, I aim to keep my students actively engaged in the learning process. Let's tackle math together!

As an Elementary and High School Math tutor, I use a creative and hands-on approach to make learning fun and engaging for my students. I believe in problem-solving and using practical examples to help students understand mathematical concepts better. My teaching style involves using a pen tab to solve problems step-by-step on a virtual whiteboard, incorporating puzzles and interactive math games to reinforce learning in an enjoyable way, and utilizing 3D models to visualize mathematical concepts. With my tutoring, students will gain the confidence to tackle even the most challenging math problems. Personally, I think combining maths with visual arts and interesting stories makes learning much more efficiency. Different individuals have different styles of cognitive. Some students are good at listening and reading, while some other students are visual thinkers who are confused by lectures and textbooks but may understand the same knowledges well by picturing or acting activities. Discovering a student's difficulty on specific knowledges through problems that they aren't able to solve or failed to solve in a correct way, and find creative ways to make him or her feel easy to solve others problems in the future.
